This page serves as a comprehensive repository for the diverse materials that underpin Hallucino-Generative. It provides a deeper, behind-the-scenes look at the processes, experiments, and reflections that have shaped the project, offering readers and researchers a holistic understanding of how this year-long collaboration between artist and AI unfolded. Throughout the coming days, this page will be organised into thematic sections covering logs, prompts, code snippets, technical notes, and other supplementary materials. As this archive takes shape, you will find all relevant documentation and records here, enabling a clear and structured view of the project’s evolution.
A. HELLO W[4o]RLD
This section contains the preliminary artefacts that initially sparked the conceptualization of this project. During the first nine days, the AI (4o / DALL-E) produced graph-like images in response to prompts for a self-portrait. In the days that followed, however, the AI appeared to abandon its earlier stylistic choices—whether by “forgetting” them or by purposefully diverging from its previous approach remains uncertain. Regrettably, I was only able to preserve prompts up to day fourteen, as the complete conversation containing the successive self-portraits was inadvertently lost. Furthermore, the creative process was not consistently maintained on a daily basis, and there were limited developments beyond the routine of retrieving and saving images. Nevertheless, these early works laid the groundwork for the current project and serve as an archive documenting the nascent stages of this project.
